Welcome to my portfolio!
I am Aileen Pou, a recent grad from Conestoga College, with a passion for UX design. I studied psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and subsequently went on to graduate school at to study Clinical Psychology at Peking University, where I also worked (at Peking University Hospital) as a psychological counsellor. Since arriving in Canada, I have worked in Uptown Waterloo Gallery as an artist and teacher, and as a 3D artist in Toonrush.

UX project

My most recent UX project was taking on the 2020 4x4 Challenge at Conestoga College, which aimed at creating sustainable digital tourism—a hackathon where Conestoga students from all programs are invited to flex their design skills and compete for prizes to find solutions to real-world industry challenges.

2D DIGITAL ART

My 2D graphics are created using Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effect. My designs have elements of both traditional and new media.

3D DIGITAL ART

To better appreciate design in our rapidly evolving and increasingly digitized lives, I studied animation. At Conestoga College, I studied visual effects, layout, and character design. I also worked at a company called Toonrush as a 3D artist. If you are interested in my digital animation, please have a look of my portfolio.

TRADITIONAL ART

I have been drawing as long as I could remember. I started practicing Chinese painting when I was only 10 years old. I earned painting awards in 2003 and 2009 and has held Chinese art and photography exhibitions in Macau and Hong Kong. Have a look.
